The Pathway House today unveiled its remodeled exercise and fitness room, complete with new NordicTrack Treadmill and Elliptical Machines. In addition to the new equipment, the room was renovated and repainted to make the space more inviting for the residents of Pathway House.
“The link between exercise and improved treatment outcomes has been well established, and we felt that this was a component that was missing from our program” says Kevin Waterman, Director of Substance Abuse Services for GAAMHA.
The purchase of the new equipment was made possible through a grant award provided by CHNA9, The Community Health Network of Central Massachusetts (www.chna9.com).
“We are extremely grateful to CHNA9 for the funding they have provided for this project. Addiction is a comprehensive problem and this support from CHNA9 will help us to offer a comprehensive solution to that problem for clients of Pathway House” stated Shawn Hayden, Business Director for GAAMHA.
