Permanent Supportive Housing

The GAAMHA Permanent Supportive Housing Program opened in 2017 in a completely renovated building and provides permanent, supportive sober housing for up to 12 men and women in modern studio apartments. These fully furnished apartments are move-in ready for people who have completed residential treatment and established a solid foundation of recovery and wish to transition into independent living. Our tenants are able to live and work independently, manage their own lives and relationships, while remaining in a supportive environment conducive to their continued long term recovery. All tenants receive support and case management services from GAAMHA. Unlike traditional sober living, our agency provides full case management services to our residents to ensure that they receive the support they need to sustain their recovery. Our Supportive Housing Case Management program is funded through a contract with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, ensuring that our facilities and staff provide the highest quality of care to the individuals we serve and that our agency has a level of oversight and accountability not found in traditional sober living operations.

Residents of our new building will have the good fortune of being in the same building as Alysaa’s Place: Peer Recovery and Resource Center which operates on the first floor commercial space of our building. This means that ¬†peer support and fellowship are only a few steps away!
